|Tell us about your sporting background and how you first got into triathlons||I was a couch potato until I was in my mid 20s and then for some reason decided to take up bootcamp and loved it and then started running half marathons.
A friend then suggested I try adventure racing. Which was fun, all be it I seemed to also get stuck with the map and as someone who is directionally challenged, this wasn't great.
Then someone suggested I try triathlons as the course it marked. So for the last 6 years that's what I've done, my first tri was Shep 70.3 because I didn't know there were different distances, my second was IM WA as I didn’t realise there were shorter distances than a half.
|Your favourite TRI discipline?||Is finishing a discipline? If not then probably the bike.|
|Goal race for the 2016/17 season? Perhaps future goals?||I've only done one race this season and that was Shep 70.3, so I'll say that was my goal race. As for 2017/18 well I'm entered in IMWA in December.|
|Favourite holiday destination and why||North America pretty well anywhere that the snow is good. Although my all-time favourite resort is Sun Peaks, I haven't yet found a prettier ski field.|
|If you could have a super power for a day what would it be?||Erase all animal cruelty.|
|In a snapshot of a few sentences, what else keeps you busy outside of triathlons?||My animals, the horses, dogs and cats take up what little time I have left outside of work and training.|
|What do you love about being a member of NunaTriClub?||It's just an amazing group of people who no matter how good you are everyone supports you and wants you to be the best that you can be.|
