Question Answer
Tell us about your sporting background and how you first got into triathlons I played netball at quite a high level and competed in sprints and sprint hurdles for Box Hill athletics club.

I was also a strong swimmer for school summer sport. Injury lead me to stop aths and instead I had a crack at a couple of half marathon runs.

After that I got a bit bored of just running, so I decided to make the most of my bike that was lying around (bought a few years prior when my boyfriend at the time encouraged me to ride) and see if I was any good at stringing three sports into one! It didn’t take long for me to get hooked!

Adrian Pavlou and I joined forces to be each other’s training buddy and we competed in our first OD together in Geelong in 2014 with TERRIBLE conditions - it’s a wonder that we even continued with triathlon after that!
Your favourite TRI discipline? I enjoy all three, but I probably feel most comfortable with the run. The bike is something I’m working hard at improving – getting a new bike last year was a great motivator!
Goal race for the 2016/17 season? I’ve signed up for my first 70.3 at Challenge Melb (eeek)! All my non-triathlete friends think I’m crazy, but I’m just following suit with all the other crazies at NTC!!
Favourite holiday destination and why I travelled for 3 months around Europe in 2015 and saw some amazing places! Croatia was definitely up there as a fave – beautiful beaches! But last year I visited Switzerland and LOVED Interlaken – beautiful scenery and lots of fun outdoors activities to do!
If you could have a super power for a day what would it be? To be able to teleport myself at the click of a finger.
In a snapshot of a few sentences, what else keeps you busy outside of triathlons? Testing out coffee and brunch menus at cafes across Melbourne! Oh and working as a physiotherapist takes up bit of my time too.
What do you love about being a member of NunaTriClub? I LOVE the friendly atmosphere – there’s always a smiling face to make you feel welcome at races or training sessions. Also, the support on race day is amazing and really helps to push you along when you feel like you’re dragging your feet!
