Question Answer
Tell us about your sporting background and how you first got into triathlons I grew up playing soccer from U12’s to U18’s then gave it up heading into Year 12 and University. After starting an Internship, I started putting on a bit of weight so decided one year that I’d try running. After doing my first Half Marathon (Run Melbourne 2016), I overdid my training for the Melbourne (Half) Marathon and got injured. So, I bought a road bike in September 2016 and loved it, simultaneously teaching myself to swim with the goal of a Sprint Triathlon which I did in late 2016 (Mordialloc ActiveTri).
Your favourite TRI discipline? The bike leg is my favourite as I am never last in my age category. Although I love running, ongoing leg injuries have limited my ability to train consistently and get faster.
Goal race for the 2017/18 season? Doing my First 70.3 in Cairns.
Future goals? Being faster than Adrian Pavlou, who I apparently look like.
Favourite holiday destination and why? Anywhere is good.
Super power for a day Being faster than Adrian Pavlou.
What else keeps me busy outside of tri? Outside of Triathlon, I train for Triathlon and ride bikes when I am not working.
What do you love about being a member of NunaTriClub? By being part of the club, I’ve met some great people and made some awesome friends.
