|Tell us about your sporting background and how you first got into triathlons||I was involved in basketball, footy and athletics from a early age. Then towards the end high school dropped the athletics and footy and focused on rep basketball. Due to a few knee injuries and ops I gave up basketball and spent a few years in the gym.
I didn't find pushing weights was for me as I always enjoyed training with a team and having goals.
A few friends who compete in tris and the old man who is well into retirement recommended I try out triathlons and so far I have really enjoyed pushing myself and the change of scenery.
|Your favourite tri discipline?||I haven't completed in any triathlons yet, but i enjoy running more than the other two disciplines.|
|Goal race for the 2016/17 season?||This season i just want to do one or two sprint tris and become familiar swimming amongst large groups in the water and transitioning under pressure.
In 2017 I want to aim to do the marathon in less than 3 hours.
|Favourite holiday destination and why||Port Douglas, it's good to go up there with a few friends to relax, unwind and let my hair down.|
|If you could have a super power for a day what would it be?||I'll go with flying... Hopefully that would help with my swimming times. Or maybe I would be a merman?|
|In a snapshot of a few sentences, what else keeps you busy outside of triathlons?||Working in construction is usually 6 days a week so that takes up most of my time. Then allowing time to catch up with friends and family.|
|What do you love about being a member of NunaTriClub?||Everyone is more than happy to share their advice and tips when asked. It is a very supportive club and there is never a shortage of training sessions to participate in.|
