|Tell us about your sporting background growing up and how did you first get into triathlon?||I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years and loved to ride and compete in fun runs. I also compete in surf lifesaving.
When I finished school I decided to ditch the mountain bike and get a racer so I could start triathlons. I had 2012-2013 off to start a family and have come back to have a crack at the bigger events.
|Your favourite tri discipline?||Swimming when it comes to a race and I enjoy open water swims (I hate training in a pool). This season I have really enjoyed running and I seem to run better off the bike then just on a straight out run|
|Goal race for the 2014/15 season?||My goal race this season is Challenge Melbourne and just to complete it, although I haven’t had the best preparation with a Fiji holiday and coming back with tonsillitis which knocked me flat for two weeks. At least I feel well rested for it!|
|Favourite holiday destination and why?||Fiji and its amazing tropical islands, I have been there a couple of times now and it’s great for young kids too|
|If you could have a super power for a day (e.g. flying, walk through walls etc.) what would it be?||I think I would have to say the ability to do things with my mind… Think about something that has to be done, point and it’s done!|
|In a snapshot of a few sentences what else keeps you busy outside of triathlon?||A very active 2.5 year old keeps me busy outside of triathlons as well as being a Primary P.E teacher|
|What do you love about being a member of the NunaTriClub?||I love being a member of NTC because everyone is so positive, supportive and encouraging no matter what distances you do|
